| Commemorating
the iconic faces of our times, the artist Adam Nixon
has exclusively created for Photoaltering.com a new
series of celebrity portraits in authentic recreations
of the technical style of Andy Warhol. |

details:

These
portraits are not produced by automation. There
are many hours of dedicated work in each one. The
artist has closely studied the original pictures
of Andy Warhol, and thus formulated his actual technique,
so that although these new portraits are created
and printed digitally, much of the complex physical
process of Warhol's method has been closely followed
(not just mimicked, as some are). The website pictures
you see here do not do them full justice, but when
you receive your actual print, you will be able
to see and appreciate the amount of extra work which
goes into one of our portraits.

Each portrait is available as a 12x12 inch photographic
print, or a 25x25 inch reproduction print on fineart
quality paper, or on canvas as an 18x18 inch stretcher-framed
edition, or on canvas at Warhol's genuine customary
exhibition size for portraits, that is, 40x40
inches (101.6x101.6 cm) stretcher-framed
canvas.
These are limited edition prints. To enquire into
availability and prices, please email here.

details:

In
his relatively short lifetime, Warhol did not get around
to making portraits of all the stars. And because he died
in 1987, there are people he would never live to make portraits
of, or those who he did portray in his time, but
of whom a new century now gives a fresh perspective and
appreciation of. So now, in a gesture which both pays homage
to and immortalises Warhol himself, fills in the gaps Warhol
left behind, and brings a replication of his technique to
a new generation, by a new artist, we present this collection
for your pleasure and purchase, of heroic portraits of gravity
and style of our most beautiful and bravest idols, to grace
the home of the discerning art buyer.

These
are the most authentic looking Warhol-style portraits you
can probably find anywhere, and why, it has been said, a
'Warhola' by Adam Nixon could almost be passed off as a
newly discovered Warhol fake, and sold for thousands. Thankfully,
that is not our intention - We simply wish to bring you
the fulfilment of nostalgia for a bygone age of unparalleled
influence in art and cultural history, at an affordable
price. You will be investing in a rebirth of something which
was once thought lost forever. Our work already hangs beside
genuine Warhols in the rooms of collectors who actually
knew Andy Warhol in his heyday. Now it can hang in yours
too...
